Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 12:00 a.m. in "the City", where the current temperature is 67°, which will also be our overnight low temperature under clear skies. With a two mph wind out of the south, the temperature feels like 67°.

We have three alerts going into effect today.

First, is a Beach Hazard Statement, for Allegan, Muskegon, Oceana, Ottawa, and Van Buren counties in  MI. That will remain in effect until Friday morning.

Second, there will be an Air Quality in effect for Allegan, Kent, Ottawa, and Van Buren counties until Friday.

Finally, there is a Small Craft Advisory from 6:00 a.m. Today until Friday @ 8:00 a.m. from St. Joseph to Manistee, with somewhat steady wind speeds of 15 - 20 knots, with gusts possible up to 30 knots that may produce wave heights up to five feet.

The sun will rise this morning @ 6:08 a.m. and set later @ 9:28 p.m. Today's high-temperature forecast from the NWS calls for 84° with an overnight low of 70°. Friday's forecast calls for a more moderate-high temperature of 75° with a 52% chance for ayem showers.

Unlike Tuesday's baseball report, baseball today/tonight has been very, very good to me, as all my teams were victorious.

Thursday, the 29 - 46 Cubs once again play the 26 - 48 Reds in a game scheduled to begin at 8:05 p.m. with RHP Kyle Hendricks, 3 - 6, on the mound for the Cubs. The Cubs will entertain the 43 - 33 Red Sox Friday at 2:20 p.m.

The 29 - 45 Tigers defeated the 40 - 34 Giants Wednesday afternoon by a final score of 3 - 2. The Tigers are off until Friday when they meet the 27 - 47 royals @ 7:10 p.m. No pitcher has been announced for that game.

My beloved, 43 - 33 Red Sox needed 10 innings to defeat the 42 - 32 Blue Jays, 6 - 5 last night. The Sox will be traveling to Chicago for that 2:20 p.m. start on Friday afternoon with LHP Rich Hill, 4 - 4 throwing for the Sox.

Finally, the 34 - 37 Caps totaled the 28 - 43 TinCaps last night. 14 - 4. The Caps and the TinCaps play again tonight @ 6:35 P.M.

Mary and Ginger once again went walkabout yesterday to get some exercise and take some pix, which included some of the now totally demolished Grand Haven Tribune, some of a nearby garden, and some of the flora in our own vast gardens here at the manse on the Palatial Estate. I'll add many of them here.

The former Grand Haven Tribune building is no more.

But these painted concrete blocks are in a very attractive garden.

Near our deck, this lily is in full bloom.

And it has been or soon will be, joined by others.

Major Wheeler is blooming once again.

All of the pictures were taken with Olympus Mary's Olympus TG-6 camera utilizing several settings. Mary as got her camera down pat.

Today we tried two new recipes, one for brunch and another for dinner. The brunch recipe was mashed Great Northern Beans with avocado and garden-fresh basil and lemon juice on toasted bread ala Mary.

Dinner was a salad that used Mary's soon-to-be-famous fried tofu atop lettuce and mushrooms topped with Mary's homemade dressings.

Naturally, we did more ear-reading, cross-stitching, and crossword solving too. I also did some coloring and listened to a live Zoom™ concert featuring Rebecca Loebe, Betty Soo, and Grace Pettis, who often tour together, but tonight, they were all in separate locations, and in spite of that, they were able to perform solo songs and take handoffs from the others right on cue. A great experience.

Today, it will be a good day to stay indoors and read, play music, and do whatever feels right,  Ciao.
