Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 6:45 p.m. in "The City", where the current temperature of 72° under fair skies feels like 72° with a wind out of the west @ 12 mph.

A Beach Hazard Statement is in effect for the lakeshore communities until later tonight with strong currents making swimming conditions hazardous. In addition, there is yet another Small Craft Advisory in effect from St. Joseph to Manistee, until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, with wind speeds from 15 to 20 knots and gusts possible to 25 knots that may produce waves up to five feet in height.

The sun will rise tomorrow @ 6:07 a.m. and set later @ 9:28 p.m.

A baseball update shows that the 28 - 45 going nowhere Cubs, defeated their hated rivals, the 41 - 33 Cardinals in 10 innings, 6 - 5. the cubs are off until Tuesday when they welcome the 24 - 47, also going nowhere Reds to WrigleyField for an 8:05 p.m. start as RHP Keegan Thompson7 - 2, tosses the first pitch.

My beloved 42 - 31 2nd place in the AL East Red Sox, swept the 36 - 32 Guardians today, with an 8 - 3 win. The Red Sox move on to Toronto tomorrow night for a 7:07 p.m. game versus the 40 - 32 Blue Jays with no pitcher yet announced for the beloved.

Finally, the Caps eked out a win over the Kernels today, 4 - 3. The Caps are off until Tuesday when they travel to Ft. Wayne, IN, to face the TinCaps @ 6:35 p.m.

We got out and about today to see the annual GH Art Fair and also allow me to take some pix of the ongoing demolition of the former home of The Grand Haven Tribune at the corner of Third St. and Columbus Ave, here in GH. The site will be redeveloped into condominiums this year and next.

I shot this barricade to show the pedestrian detour.

Slowly, with care to not damage the building next door, the building is being razed.

The back of the building is nearly gone.

As this large shovel stands atop the rubble.

The Art Fair was crowded with patrons.

And many dogs that came in all sizes.

And shaps on beautiful day for a walkabout.

Just because.

This young lady was one of the vendors selling colorful, hand-printed clothing.

On the way back to the manse, we walked through Central Park.

The fountain is once again up and running.

In the vast gardens, our rabbit has eaten the bark off of our dogwood tree.

Our brunch today was waffles ala Mary with a side of vegan breakfast sausages. We had some jalapeno potato chips with onion dip for an afternoon snack as we listened to the second book in the Maggie Hope series, having finished the first book earlier today.

Tonight I have a ukulele strum session from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m.

We have minimal plans for tomorrow that will likely include some indoor chores and more reading. I finished my last novel earlier this morning and tried another this afternoon, which is now on the to-be-returned pile, as it was not to my liking. I have selected another book from my stash.

Mary continues to ear-read her latest novel along with cross-stitching. That's all folks. ciao.
