Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world, It is just past 5:00 p.m. in "The City."

I'm going to dispense with my regular weather repost and just mention that the sun will rise tomorrow @ 6:05 a.m. and set later @ 9:25 p.m. In between, the high-temperature forecast by the NWS is 82° with an overnight low of 66°. However, the NWS is also forecasting the development of severe T-storms in the afternoon with a chance now reported @ 62% around 5:00 p.m. This being GH, we never know for certain.

However, today, since we had to go to the library for a pickup and dropoff, we made a few additional stops along the way,

Mary and Ginger had gone walking earlier this morning and came back to report that a car show was happening downtown. Naturally, I just had to go there and take some pix after we made our visit to the library. I never learned who sponsored the car show, but nonetheless, Mary dropped me off, went to park the car and I took my camera and made the rounds.

A mid-sixties Chevrolet with a blower.

A Chevrolet Apache with a  faux rust effect. air-suspension, and side exhausts.

A sweet T-Bird.

Before there was Tesla, people made their own electric cars.

With a lot of equipment under the hood for the electric conversion.

A pro-street Corvette.

A nice 64 Chevrolet low rider.

The obligatory Rat Rod.

And only one of two 1970s-era MGBs in the show.

I personally don't like that they had to put on those ugly bumpers to meet US crash standards.

But, we weren't done. Mary told me that when she and Ginger were out, the channel was fog obscured. So, I had to get some pix there and at the City Beach.

The lighthouses and the south pier are out there, somewhere.

Visibility at the City Beach was very limited.

But this young eagle was easy to spot against the blue sky.

Wave runners just off the beach.

Finally, we made our way over to the auxiliary gardens for some weeding and watering. Our garlic and Yukon Gold potatoes are doing well. But, there are also some other plants growing there too.

A wild pink iris.

Mushrooms that seem to pop up after a rain like we had on Friday.

And some tiny white flowers amidst the undergrowth.

All in all, we had a nice time, I got to shoot some new things, and we accomplished several tasks.

I'll report on the baseball news, but it was mostly not so good.

The Caps won yesterday but lost today. They are off until Tuesday when they travel to Peoria, IL to face the Chiefs @ 7:05 p.m.

The Cubs were routed by the Yankees last night, and they are on their way to yet another loss in NYC today. Oh well, wait till next year. LOL. The Cubs are home tomorrow night for an 8:05 p.m. EDT game versus the visiting Padres.

The Tigers, well they got shut out today, 0 - 6, as Tarik Skubal proved totally ineffective versus the Blue Jays. The Tigers are home tomorrow night to face that other team from Chicago, for a game @ 7:05 p.m. By the by, the Tigers reported that their hope for the future pitcher, Casey Mize, needs to have Tommy John surgery and so he will be gone for this year and a good part of next as he rehabs.

Finally, my beloved Red Sox were edged by the Mariners last night, 6 - 7. They are playing right now with no score as rookie RHP Kutter Crawford is holding the Mariners down. The Sox are off until Tuesday night @ 7:10 p.m. when RHP Nick Pivetta, 5 - 5, takes the mound for the beloved.

Mary saved my yak from having to water the various plantings here at the manse by watering early this morning. I am thankful for her efforts. Although I did water and weed at the auxiliary gardens. Mary also used the how there too.

So, having finished one novel, several crossword puzzles, been to several locations for photo shooting, and the aforementioned gardening, I am now blogging and getting set to read more. Mary is happily cross-stitching another of her newest faves, small-sized pictures that are quite suitable for framing if she can find a suitable frame. Oh, we are almost done ear-reading, Dear Mrs. BirdI think that's enough for one day. Ciao.
