Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 11:30 p.m. in "The City", where I've just watched the 23 - 32 Cubs flame out once again, versus the 32 - 23 Cardinals. I'll get back to the Cubs later in this blog.

We have a current temperature of 65° under cloudy skies that feels like 64° with a wind out of the east @ 9 mph. Tomorrow's forecast from the NWS calls for a high temperature of 69° with an 82% chance for rain rolling in around 11:00 a.m. and continuing throughout the afternoon and into the evening hours. At least I won't have to water. Tonight's low temperature will drop to 63°, while tomorrow night's low will fall even more to a very chilly 54°! The sun will rise tomorrow @ 6:06 a.m. and set later @ 9:20 p.m.

Now, back to baseball.

As I previously noted, the Cubs once again looked less like a Major League team, and more like a double A level team, at best. The Cubs had the lead, let the Cardinals tie it up in the ninth, and then as the innings progressed, the Cardinals utilized clutch hitting to score two more runs and stellar defense to stymy the Cubs, en route to that 3 - 5 Cubs' loss. The Cubs travel to Baltimore on Tuesday night to face the 22 - 33 Orioles @ 7:05 p.m. EDT. The pitcher for the Cubs will be rookie RHP Keegan Thompson, 6 - 0.

The fading 21 - 33 Tigers once again looked lost, as they took 10 innings to lose to the 39 - 15 Yankees in 10 innings, 4 - 5. Miggy got three more hits, but that was not enough to hold off the AL East leading Yankees. The Tigers travel to Pittsburgh to face the 24 - 28 Pirates in a game beginning @ 7:05 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, as LHP Tarik Skubal, 4 - 2, tosses for the Tigers.

My beloved 27 - 27 Red Sox swept the 20 - 36 As, with a 5 - 2 victory. The Sox make a stop in Anaheim tomorrow night to play the 27 - 28 Angels starting @ 9:35 p.m. EDT, with RHP Michael Wacha, 3 - 1, takes the mound for the Sox

The 23 - 28 Caps fell to the 26 - 24 Captains. 2 - 9. The Caps are in Lansing Tuesday night to play the 17 - 28 Lugnuts in a game slated to commence @ 6:35 p.m. EDT.

Today was good day to do the indoor chores,  time for me to read, and for Mary to go out on our deck when the rain was gone and cross-stitch while Ginger watched. We also listed to more of Dear Mrs. Bird too.

I gave up on my last read and started another today. Mary has found yet another ear-read that is keeping her attention.

Tomorrow, more retirement, more reading, more cross-stitching, and more ??? Ciao.
