Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 9:30 p.m. in "The City."

It was a gorgeous day in the Tri-Cities today. The skies were mostly sunny and the temperature was 67°. What's not to like? In fact, it was so gorgeous, that we made a decision to go to Hofma Park and the City Beach of GH this afternoon. I took over 80 pictures during our visits. I'll get back to those pix in a moment.

Our current temperature is 60° under sunny but darkening skies, though it feels more like 59° with a wind out of the west @ five mph. Our overnight low tonight is forecast to fall to 51° before we rebound to tomorow's high temperature of 67° with an overnight low of 53°.

As of  now, the NWS is forecasting an 89% chance of rain beginning around 11:00 a.m. and continuing until around 11:00 p.m. tomorrow night. The sun will rise tomorrow @ 6:05 a.m. and set many hours later @ 9:22 p.m.

Now, for those aforementioned pictures. I haven't had the chance to get out for any extended photo shoots of late, but Mary convinced me that a good place to begin would be Hofma Park.

At Hofma, there are myriad paths to follow as well as a floating bridge that crosses the wetlands. Here are some pix to illustrate what we saw as we walked.

Although a small park, Hofam affords many opportunities to lose oneself.

As you can see from this pic of the trail map, trails abound.

If you have to get lost, this is a great place to do it.

The sun poked through the trees as we walked.

Soon, the floating bridge was just ahead.

Mary and Ginger walked ahead, while I stayed back for some great shots.

Here they are, forging ahead.

I hung back to get this water lily in the wetlands.

As well as these flowers.

Water lilies were everywhere.

Along with this swan.

The swan seemed unaware of us and of the bullfrogs croaking nearby.

As I stated, we left Hofma and traveled to the City Beach where I took some pix of the kite surfers.

These kite surfers were cruising in the strong winds over the "Big Lake" and the outer lighthouse.

I snapped this pic with the inner lighthouse in the background.

And a similar shot of this lone surfer over the outer lighthouse.

The "Big Lake" is a mecca for kite and wave surfers alike.

The baseball scene is still in flux as of this writing, The Tigers have just started play in Pittsburgh following a rain delay.

The Cubs wish that their game had been delayed, as they are down 3 - 9 to the Orioles in the bottom of the seventh. Things are not looking good for the boys in blue, although Chris Morel is still on a hot streak after his recent promotion to the big club.

The Red Sox are just warming up in Anaheim as they ready themselves for a game versus the Angels.

The Caps defeated the Lugnuts in Lansing earlier today, 9 - 5.

Tomorrow's rain will cause us to do more indoor activities, such as. but not limited to, indoor chores, reading, cross-stitching, crossword solving, listening to more of Dear Mrs. Bird, and a need to drive Ginger to her grooming session, rather than walking her over. That's enough for now. Ciao.
