There is only a very slight chance for precipitation tomorrow, and the first real chance seems to be on Saturday. That's one of the reasons I had to water the vast gardens today and also why it will be likely that I'll be watering our auxiliary gardens tomorrow. The sun will rise tomorrow @ 6:06 a.m. and set later @ 9:28 p.m.
Things around the manse have been very quiet of late. We've been enjoying ear-reading, crossword solving, print reading, and cross-stitching.
A quick baseball update.
The 26 - 44 Cubs played the 29 - 40 Pirates today and lost in 10 innings. Sad to say, there is very little likelihood that the Cubs will suddenly become like that 20116 team that won the World Series. At any rate, the cubs are in St. Louis tomorrow night for an 8:15 p.m. game versus the 40 - 32 Cardinals with RHP Kyle Hendricks, 2 - 6 pitching for the Cubs.
My beloved 39 - 31 Red Sox were off today, after sweeping the Tigers for three games. The Sox are doing great, but they are not likely to catch their arch-rivals, the NY Yankees this season. The Sox travel to Cleveland to face the 36 - 29 Guardians in a game beginning @ 7:10 p.m. with RHP Nick Pivetta, 7 - 5 going for the beloved.
The 26 - 43 Tigers were mercifully off today following that aforementioned sweep by the Red Sox. The Tigers travel to AZ tomorrow night, for a 9:40 p.m. game versus the 32 - 39 D'Backs with rookie RHP Rony Garcia, 1 - 2, pitching for the Tigers.
The 30 - 35 Caps are in Cedar Rapids tonight playing the 43 - 22 Kernels, down by one run in the bottom of the eighth. The Caps are in Cedar Rapids again tomorrow night to face the Kernels in a game commencing @ 7:35 p.m.
We had a nice afternoon watching the J6 hearings and reading once we returned from STWD's appointment at the veterinarian. So far, so good for our aging baby.
Mary is once again cross-stitching and I will be reading soon.
Tomorrow, a trip to the big-box everything store for Mary and Ginger and more ear and print reading for us. I hope to get in some music time too. Ciao.
