Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just before 3:00 a.m. in "The City."

Yes, I have been away from the blogosphere for a couple of days. We have been busy and I was just too tired to get up and blog. However, even now, I am only up because Ginger got up and so I took her out around 2:15 a.m.

Of necessity, I am going to be brief because I don't want to log too much chair time this morning.

I heard the trains yesterday, but I did not see them.

The current temperature according to the NWS is 50° and it rained sometime before I was out with Ginger. As of now, the NWS is forecasting a high for today of 63° under skies that will start out cloudy and then give way to possible showers/t-storms later this evening. The sun will rise @ 7:15 a.m. and set @ 8:10 p.m.

Yesterday in sports was a 50/50 day. My beloved Red Sox defeated the Bluejays, 3 - 2 to right their ship after a rough weekend in NYC. The Sox now have a 1st place in the AL East record of 78 - 61 and a lead over the Yankees of 3.5 games. The Sox and the Bluejays play tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

The Cubs had a tough time with the Pirates, losing their NL Central game last night, 3 - 4. However, the Cubs have a 3.5 game lead over the 2nd place Brewers of 3.5 games and 4.0 games over the Cardinals. The Cubs are in Pittsburgh again tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

The Tigers actually romped over the woeful Royals yesterday, 13 - 2 as they held onto 4th place in The AL Central with a record of 59 - 79 and a  4.5 game lead over that other team from Chicago. The Cubs and the Pirates play again tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

The Caps extended their MWL East lead over the 2nd place TinCaps to 4.5 games and increased their lead over the TinCaps to 4.5 games. The Caps travel to Dayton for a game tonight @ 7:05 p.m. Playoff tickets are on sale!

Otherwise, we accomplished several errands yesterday after dropping off Ginger at daycare and after I came back from the orthopedist. We stopped at our favorite watering hole and the take and bake pizza purveyor and then headed home after picking up Ginger to settle in for the night. After dinner, I got tired and headed up to bed to listen to the ballgame, but I fell quickly asleep.

That's about all I have to say about that. Ciao.
