Yes, my loyal readers, I have been away from the blogosphere for a few days/early mornings, but I am still trying to regain my old and not lamented pain-free way of life. My aching yak is still aching along with my sacroiliitis, and so I have not been up to blogging lately. I may still be sporadic, but at least I will be here more often.

I was outside with Ginger around 4:30 a.m., much to my chagrin, but the weather was not quite like the forecast from the NWS. The current temperature is 62° under partly cloudy skies versus the 61° and fog that is n the forecast from the NWS. Go figure. It is likely the result of our position on the shores of the "Big Lake." The sun will rise in about two hours @ 7:23 a.m. and set tonight @ 7:56 p.m.

Yesterday in sports was an odd day. The Cubs behind Jon Lester romped all over the Mets, 17 - 5. The Cubs are still in 1st place in the NL Central by 2.5 games over the Brewers and 3.0 games over the Cardinals. The Cubs attack featured 16 hits, with three RBIs off the bat of Willson Contreras, a solo home run off the bat of Javier Baez, and six RBIs from Alberto Almora Jr., who came into the game late. Since the Cubs, lost three to the Brewers over the weekend, the wins over the Mets feel good. The Cubs and the Mets play tonight @ 8:05 p.m.

My beloved Red Sox still lead the AL East, but they only have a slim 2.5 game lead over the Yankees. The Sox defeated the Oakland As, 3 - 7 and they are home today against the As @ 1:35 p.m.

The Tigers made the Indians a record setter by losing their game 3 - 7. That gives the Tigers a 2.0 game edge for 4th place over that other team from Chicago with the Tiger's record of 60 - 85. The Tigers are home to play that team today @ 1:10 p.m.

I have another P/T appointment today in the early afternoon and a chiropractor's appointment later today too. That is the end of my desire to ambulate.

I plan to read more and also watch more inane TV while Mary goes to the grocery store and indexes. Now I'm off the media room where I have been sleeping in the La-Z-Boy for more comfort and also to watch Highway Patrol. Ciao.
