Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 3:00 a.m. in "The City."
Yes, I have been away from the keyboard for a couple of days, and I am going to be short on this outing too, but that is my prerogative as the author

We have a current temperature of 73° under clear skies as we approach the dawning of the new day when the NWS is forecasting a high temperature of 83° under mostly sunny skies. The sun will rise @ 7:32 a.m. and set @ 7:41 p.m.

The Cubs have not yet clinched their division, and it took 10 innings and more heroics from Javier Baez and Kris Bryant to put them over the hump in their NL Central game against the 2nd place Brewers last night, but they pulled it out, 5 - 3 to move to 4 1/2 games ahead of the Brew Crew and 5 games ahead of the Cardinals. So that makes the Cubs magic number 6 as they finish out the season. They have a current record of 85 - 67 and meet the Brewers in Milwaukee again tonight @ 7:35 p.m.

My beloved Red Sox were off yesterday, however, they have clinched a post-season berth with their current AL East record of 88 - 64. The Sox play in Cincinnati tonight against the Reds @ 7:10 p.m.

The Tigers are officially out of it in the AL Central with a record of 62 - 91 and their 4th place standing. The Tigers fell to the Twins yesterday 1 - 12, but good news, Jordan Zimmerman is back in the rotation and feels good about his performance. Say what? At any rate, the Tigers and the Twins play again tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

I had a good visit at P/T yesterday and was also encouraged by the results of the X-rays on my lower back. I don have any structural issues. What I do have is degenerative arthritis. However, the therapist felt that my bike riding the day before was good therapy and encouraged me to keep it up along with some additional therapies and so I shall.

The chiropractor can't really do much for arthritis, but he does believe in meditation and some nutritional changes, and I will once again begin to reintroduce those into my daily routines.

We have nothing on tap for today and that's okay by me. We will feed the fur-children and then return to our respective modes of rest for the morning. Ciao.
