Good morning GH. It is currently 77 degrees here in my office/music room and it is 68 outdoors. In short, it is great. We are expecting a sunny high of 79 today. Not bad.

Mary's lettuce is beginning to sprout in her deck planter, also not bad. I was surprised that my baking yak wasn't baking too much on Tuesday. I guess that although I am older, I can occasionally do some things like I did on Monday without long lasting aches and pains. I even took time to fill her smaller planters on Tuesday, and she promptly planted some seeds in those. She still has a couple of plants to go, but she is mostly there. Her tulips are beginning to show the start of blooms, and her plant that looks like parsley is blooming.

Sugar the Weather Dog is sleeping soundly in the other room. With the early morning t-storms we had on Tuesday, she spent some time in her hide-e-hole as expected.

I started reading a new book that I picked up at the local library, called Behind the Kitchen Door, by Saru Jayaraman, with a forward by Eric Schlosser, the author of  Fast Food Nation. This book is about the inequities to be found in the food service industry, from the foods themselves, to the treatment of many workers. An interesting read.

A short train report. We had a train at 5:30 AM on Tuesday, and another at 2:30 AM today. Clearly, no rhyme nor reason.

In sports, the boys in blue lost again, and the Red Sox, unfortunately, lost to the Blue Jays. The Tigers shellacked the team from Minnesota 6 - 1. The Caps, lost to Beloit. Oh well, there is always today, for our Michigan teams.

Otherwise, I have nothing special planned for today. Reading and sitting on the deck, and not much else, I hope. Sugar did get outside to the "Bone Zone," but I didn't give her a bone to chew. Too many bones spoils the Weather Dog I say.

Mary and I journeyed to Holland on Tuesday, but what Mary wanted wasn't available in the stores there. However  it was a good day for an outing. It was interesting how much the temperature changed as we journeyed. Warmer in Holland, cooler here near the lake.

So, that's about it. Tea time in a few hours and then nothing much else. Ciao.
