Good early morning GH. It is currently 68 degrees here in the Weather Center/Office/Music Room. Very comfortable. Outdoors, 48 degrees rising to a high of 71. We anticipate 70s for the balance of the week. A 30% chance of precipitation today starting around 4:00 AM, until 7:00 AM, then tapering off to 10% for the balance of the day. "Bone Zone" here we come!

Monday was full of surprises. Mary and I journeyed to the cell phone store where we finally switched our service to one main phone and one emergency phone, both with local numbers. Total cost per month, less than 2/3 of what we were paying. Now I have to be sure to change to the new phone number at my various service providers, ie, doctors, the veterinarian, various pension plans, etc. There are a lot more than I thought.

As I mentioned previously, Mary wanted to plant lilies in the back forty of the palatial estate. But when she figured out what the plants would cost, she decided she had to think it over. We may just do some transplanting from other locations on the estate.

We picked up some replacement seed for the lawn at one of the local garden centers. I am just waiting for rain to be solidly in the forecast so that I can spread the seeds. If I have extra, I can plant some for my neighbors lawn too. That lawn took the same kind of beating in last year's drought as ours. Mary is going to plant her potatoes today while I mow what is left of the lawn and perhaps rake the newly plowed fields.

In sports, the boys in blue were victorious over Colorado, 9 - 1. My beloved Red Sox had the day off, but they are still in third place in their division. The Tigers once again hammered the Astros, 7 - 2. The Caps lost to the team from South Bend, 2 - 6. The Bulls are one game short of playoff elimination, and they have decided to not play D. Rose this year, a wise decision I think. The Red Wings next playoff game is against the Blackhawks Wednesday evening. As a transplanted Chicagoan, I have to root for the Hawks over the Red Wings. Unfortunately in this case, I have to choose sides.

Barb had her knee surgery today, and her report directly after was positive and told of a rather lengthy brace and rehab in two days, doctor again in two weeks. I think she will find her knee/leg a bit more painful today than yesterday, based on personal experience.

Today, Tea time, guitar, phone number changes, gardening, and landscaping, not necessarily in that order, before the "Bone Zone." I may ride my bike to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that couldn't be filled until today due to restrictions from the insurance company. Ciao.
