Good morning GH. It is just past 10:00 AM here in "The City." We have a current temperature on the desktop of 70 degrees and there is evidence that the rain event that was predicted overnight came to pass. We are heading for a high of 74 degrees under partly cloudy skies and the chance of more rain/t-storms is 70%.

Yesterday we walked into town, first with Sugar the Weather Dog and later without. Mary worked and I read. I also did some serious cleaning, but that goes without saying. In short, we had a good day.

Today, I think we may go north to do a bit of shopping and then do what I do best, read and think about things to be done. That's how I ended up cleaning the kitchen cabinets yesterday. When we came in from that early walk yesterday, the sunlight revealed that the faces of the cabinets could use a good cleaning. So, before it could get added to my to do list, I put it on my to done list. A little planning goes a long way.

In sports, the boys in blue fell 4 - 8 to the Cardinals. The Tigers came back to tie the Yankees, but ended up losing 4 - 5 on a walk off homer. My beloved Red Sox fell to the Royals 3 - 4, but they still have a three game lead over the Rays. The Caps were thoroughly hammered by the South Bend Silver Hawks, 1 - 12.
