On Monday, Mary and I started at the the big box tool store. As you can imagine, that part of the trip was for me. For the princely sum of $1.68, after all discounts and freebies were applied, I got an additional brush for our garage and a digital multimeter. One more in my long line of cheap or free things.
We also made a stop at two big box arts and crafts stores. At the first, we left unrequited. But at the second, we scored, and I got the letters to trace for my man cave outer doors, which I can then use in the man cave itself. I also got a new knitting loom. Next we returned to GH, where Mary got two new wind chimes for the GH channel. These will replace the hanging baskets that never seem to grow well. Mary thinks that this might be due to the lack of sunlight in that location, and I have to agree. In any event, these chimes will never need watering.
Finally we went to our favorite watering hole and had an early dinner with libations. When we got home, Sugar the Weather Dog was glad to see us, as she got fed a bit early as I read on the deck. In short, the day was a success.
In sports, the boys in blue fell to the Reds, 0 - 2. The Tigers fell to the other team from Chicago, 2 - 6. Tonight, the Tigers will send Max Scherzer to the mound to halt this brief slide and win his 18th game. My beloved Red Sox fell 3 - 4 to the Royals, but they still maintained their divisional lead of three games over the Rays. The Caps returned the favor and dumped the Silver Hawks 10 - 4.
So, that's about it for yesterday and today. If all goes well, more guitar is in store for me and perhaps, a little "Bone Zone" for Sugar, although I may be less inclined to sit outside in those colder temperatures predicted for today. All I have to do now is hang those chimes and go to the library to pick up and drop off some books. The lettering on the man cave outer doors will likely wait for a warmer day. Ciao.
