Good early morning GH. We made it, another day will soon be dawning and the current temperature is 62 degrees under starry skies. We are expecting a high today of 76 with a slight chance of scattered showers. We have a greater chance on Monday.

Saturday was a great day. Mary worked, Sugar and I walked, and then I read and played some, all before Mary and I went out to a movie. What's not to like? We discovered a new old "Biker Bar" near the movie theater and that made the day complete. Of course, I had popcorn at the movie, but that is almost a given. Mary says that's the real reason that I go to movies, and guess what, the secret is out, I do. However, there is the ancillary benefit of seeing a movie too.

Otherwise, not much was happening. Mary and I stopped at the big box hardware store for that exchange before we traveled to the movie. I was afraid that I would have to go to the butcher shop for Sugar's "Bone Zone" fix, but I was able to get that done at our regular grocers on Friday.

Today, no watering, no real agenda, and no need for plans. I think I like it that way. I may get to installing those door stops, or maybe not. No hurry.

In sports, the boys in blue were once again triumphant as they defeated the Cardinals 6 - 5 with a late inning comeback. Now they are only 18 games back of the front running Pirates. The Tigers crushed the Yankees, 9 - 3 behind a great performance by Anibal Sanchez and home runs from Miguel and Austin. That gives the Tigers an eight game lead in their division over the fading Tribe. My beloved Red Sox beat out the Royals 5 - 3 and they now own a three game lead over the Rays and 11 games over the Yankees. The Caps unfortunately fell to the South Bend Silver Hawks, 0 - 2. We'll get them next time.
