Good early morning GH. It has just passed 2:30 AM here in "The City" and the current temperature is 53 chilly degrees. We are theoretically heading for a high of 69 under clear skies. No precipitation is expected until Sunday, and that's only 10%. Sugar the Weather Dog is sleeping soundly, so I"m a believer. My apologies to the Monkees.
On Tuesday, I did more than I expected. I mowed two lawns, one on the palatial estate and one next door, and then I pulled some weeds. After that, I painted the outer doors to the man cave and then came in and hung the puzzle and move the washboard. I also found time to hang the new wind chimes with Mary's help. All of that was just before lunch or just after. Finally, Sugar and I spent some time in the "Bone Zone" where I read and drank wine while Sugar chewed. Oh did I mention, I even found time to knit some and play the guitar.
I should mention that Mary was hard at work, so I was in charge of getting dinner on the table, and since I had made the spaghetti sauce a few days ago, it was a lot easier. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable day.
Today, I think it's time to slow down a bit. I should remind myself that I am not getting any younger. I will get some laundry done, and perhaps some additional reading and guitar playing. The latter two are pursuits of pleasure, the former a necessity. I need to get over to Coopersville for that train ride too. They only run on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM. I hope the tickets are still good. I'll check later.
In sports the boys in blue fell to the Reds 4 - 6. They are now only 18.5 games back. The Tigers also fell to that other team from Chicago, 3 - 4. Now they only have a six game lead over the Tribe. That other team can't regularly win a game and yet, they have beaten the Tigers two straight games. I hope the Tigers can at least salvage the rubber game this afternoon. My beloved Red Sox triumphed over the Blue Jays 4 - 2 and have a comfortable four game lead over the Rays. The Caps had the day off.
So, that's about it for the day. I hope that my former colleagues had a nice lunch on Tuesday. I just had so much to get done around the estate, that I couldn't fit the trip into my schedule. I also haven't heard any news from Barb lately, so I hope that everything is well with her. Since I am not much of an active participant in social media, I don't get much in the way of info. Ciao.
