Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 12:45 a.m. in "The City."

Well, the MSU Spartans lost a heart-breaker to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. 38 - 39. There are those who suggest that a controversial call by the officials was the cause, but the fact that neither defense was able to keep the score in the teens or twenties is a strong indicator of the problem. Earlier in the day, the Wolverines of Michigan defeated the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers, 49 - 16. We watched the first half of that game at a local bar and grill in GH, just not the favorite watering hole.

I still haven't gotten the felt on my puzzle table. Today for sure, maybe.

We did get to the farmer's market in Muskegon. It was enormous in scope. We picked up a few things just because we were there.

Lunch yesterday was barbecue sliders made from cabbage with my Coleslaw and buttered potatoes with parsley. I liked it, After that, I finished the crossword puzzle from the N. Y. Times with some assistance from Mary.

Before we left to view the game, we traveled to the library to pick up some cookbooks by the same author as Mary's current favorite cookbook that provided the recipe for lunch, The Happy Herbivore: Holidays and Gatherings, by Lindsay Nixon. That allowed Mary, and to some extent myself, to evaluate a possible purchase. As noted previously, so far the recipes from The Happy Herbivore: Holidays and Gatherings have been great.  (See previous paragraph)

I spent some time in the media room watching the Spartans before I retired to my horizontal position to listen to the game on the local radio station. I promptly fell asleep, awakening just in time to hear the sad outcome.

Currently, the temperature outside the WW is 40° before we bottom out at 38° later this early morning. As the day unfolds, we are supposed to rise to a high of 52° under sunny skies.

Today, nothing is on the schedule. A walk, that felt on the puzzle table, and that's about it. Perhaps some additional reading, but that is open a this time.

The sun will rise at 7:27 a.m. and set at 5:28 p.m. Ciao.
