Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just passing 2:30 a.m. in "The City."
We had a great day yesterday. While we didn't get up all that early, I found time to finish the book by President Carter and to work a crossword or two. Later in the day, since I was busy at the computer, Mary took STWD for the morning safari. I'm still not done with the computer, but our IT guru had to attend to another task before we could finish. Hopefully today.
Since we had spare time, Mary and I set out to visit some Ottawa County lake-shore parks located on the shores of the "Big Lake" near Holland. We didn't find the one we set out to see. However, we stopped in at another park nearby and took some pictures there. That park is appropriately named Tunnel Park. I couldn't include them all, so I selected a few. Since we both took pictures, I selected randomly from both cameras.

The approach to the tunnel from which the park got it's name. |

Mary took this photo, and I like it. |
|
I think this is her photo too. I think it is stunning. |
|
Here's a rare shot, Mary letting me take her picture. She made me promise to not include the picture if it didn't look good, but I think she is more photogenic than she thinks she is. |
|
I think that this one was mine. |
|
Although there are many photos in Mary's Jack on Bench series from our many trips. This one shows me at my best. |
|
A nice shot of the nearby residence on the dune above the beach at Tunnel Park. You can't beat the view. |

A close up in the tunnel as we left the beach |

Shhhhh! You can hear the surf from the "Big Lake." |

This is the park tunnel as viewed from the beach.. |
We followed the roads home through Holland and then along the shore. We ended our "Field Trip" at the favorite watering hole. We arrived to a warm greeting from the intrepid weather dog and then settled in for some TV viewing. I journeyed up to the Media Room and there I watched the beginning of the Bears victory over the Chargers, 22 - 19.
Today looks like I'll get to those outdoor chores along with some indoor chores while Mary chats and does the kitchen duties that she is better at than yours truly. I like being outdoors and I believe it to be a fair split.
I only witnessed the southbound train run at 10:27 a.m. as locomotive #2057 towed nine CHCs. We were at the aforementioned park when the northbound run occurred sometime in the afternoon.
Otherwise, not much on tap. The skies will be sunny today as I work outside with a high temperature of 54°. We are currently at 36°. The sun will rise at 7:30 a.m. and set at 5:26 p.m. Ciao.
