Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 1:00 a.m. in "The City."
What's there say? Another day, another seven bags of leaves. Of course that's better than my neighbors, Ron and Marilyn. Somehow a magic vortex formed that dumped leaves directly from Central Park located in the middle of "The City" to in front of and beside our house that required those aforementioned seven bags. However, that same magic vortex dumped 25 bags worth of leaves at the curb and on the lawn in front of Marlilyn and Ron's house and in the street. The balance of the leaves appear to have been dropped on the railroad tracks nearby, behind the public safety building, and everywhere else in town, except in Central Park. Go figure.
I did get in some time with the girls yesterday morning. It feels good to play some and sing and to.... Well, you get the idea.
We took the morning safari with STWD after Mary whipped up some rice and peas cold salad. The walk itself was uneventful. Sugar and I kept walking as Mary stopped at Health Hutt. When we returned, we had sandwiches and that salad for lunch.
While I was out raking the leaves, Mary journeyed to the community center for her annual purchase of a wreath for the front door of the PE. Later, we went downtown to see the sales at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum. We didn't get anything there. We spent the balance of the afternoon walking to the favorite watering hole. It was a late afternoon junk food extravaganza. On the way home we stopped at the Post to see Sally.
At the favorite watering hole, we watched the Wolverines of Michigan as they struggled to defeat the Choosers of Indiana. Ultimately after two overtime periods, they won, 48 - 41. Definitely not a defensive gem for either team. While watching, we learned that the Spartans of MSU had defeated the Terrapins of Maryland, 24 - 7. The Bears play later today at 1:00 p.m. EST.
Today, I have no plans. I doubt that I'll get an urge to do any physical labor, that's for sure.
The current temperature is 53° as we head for the overnight low of 43°. Later today, we'll rebound to a very pleasant temperature of 57°. What a great day for walking and just being. The sun will rise at 7:36 a.m. and set at 5:21 p.m. giving way to a waxing crescent moon in a mostly clear sky. Ciao.
