Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

As expected, yesterday was gorgeous. Mary and I set out with STWD towards my orthopedist appointment. They turned off part way there as I continued on. I'm done for six months and my knees feel great.

Mary made lunch when I returned home and I liked it all. She finally found the mushrooms she likes to make her gravy and with her latest incarnation of greens, small potatoes and veggies cutlets all smothered in that gravy, lunch was delicious. I wouldn't change a thing. She was off to her chat session and I was off to the man cave and the back forty of the PE to do a few things.

We did make it to Coopersville, and picked up a few things before we traveled across the Grand River on the recently opened M 231. The country side is very scenic and the people who live out there are probably not happy with the intrusion. Speaking as a Grand Havener, I am thrilled to have some of the traffic diverted off of Beacon Street and moved further west. If all goes well, the plans to remove our tree lined median to speed traffic may be scrapped. We stopped in at the Embassy Bar and Grill for some snacks and then headed home.

No trains yesterday.

Today we have nothing on tap. Mary may get back to her arts and crafts while I finally get that felt on my puzzle assembly table.

Mary visited The Bookman to pick up a book she had ordered and came back with another cookbook in tow. I perused it and it is filled with terrific recipes. I have it on good authority that one of those recipes will appear later this morning for breakfast.

Later today, my new computer may join the network. That depends on whether our computer guru is feeling better. If not, it can wait for a better time.

I will get to more playtime with the girls and finish more of the N. Y. Times. I also have that book I have been trying to get to. Having no specific plans means I am flexible.

Today's weather will be much like yesterday. Partly cloudy skies, a high temperature of 66° and a perfect opportunity to walk more in this unusually balmy November weather with Mary and STWD. That's after that aforementioned breakfast.

The sun will rise at 7:22 a.m. and set at 5:33 p.m. In between, we should see a north and southbound train run. Ciao.
