Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation, and perhaps, across the world. It is just after 7:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 35° under partly cloudy skies. Winds of 12 mph make it feel like 26°. Today's high-temperature forecast calls for 50ยบ under sunny skies. I don't know about you, my loyal readers, but lately, I feel like a weather reporter in San Diego, I just keep repeating yesterday's forecast with only slight variations.

The sun rose this morning @ 6:27 a.m. and it will set later @ 8:55 p.m.

The Freeze Watch continues in effect until 9:00 a.m. this morning.

However, there is now a Small Craft Advisory in effect until 5:00 p.m. this afternoon. West winds of 10 to 20 knots with gusts to 25 knots and waves from 3 to 5 feet in height are possible from St Joseph to Whitehall. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

As I gaze out the WW, there are a few clouds in a mostly sunny sky. It looks much warmer out there than it actually is.

Yesterday was a day of getting only some things on the agenda accomplished. However, after much back and forth in the vegan kitchen, I made some vegan Bratwursts, two of which became part of our dinner. I also folded the always-expanding pile of kitchen towels after I washed and dried them.

Here are pics of those Bratwursts both before and after steaming.

We had just enough vital wheat gluten on hand to make six Brats.
Dinner was two of the Brats covered in sauerkraut with a side salad and a baked potato.
Our fur-children had to rest after their brunch and ours. They had their usual kibble and we had vegan Italian meatballs with Coleslaw.
We sat around after brunch, and then decided it was time to break out the new dog grooming clippers and have another go at Ginger. I think we improved over our last effort.

Not perfect, but we're learning.
Now, Mary wants me to take another crack at her hair. I can do a dog that we can hold, I don't know about a woman who is a tough customer. I may have to ask for a larger fee and expect a 25% tip!

Mary went out to our parkway garden yesterday afternoon and cut the only three tulips that bloomed this year or at least the only three that the deer didn't eat, we're not sure which. At any rate, they now grace the end table in the living room.

Two vases later and we have tulips!
Since we were outside, I took some pix of the flowers in the vast gardens and the back forty.

I could not make my Olympus DSLR focus on this flower, which Mary thinks is a small tulip, but I don't agree. Perhaps it is a tall crocus or perhaps she's right.

Otherwise, we watched more Outlander in the media room before dinner and then I repaired to that same media room after dinner to watch another episode of Wayne Faust's LivingRoom Concert series, this time from his daughter's house in Tempe, AZ. My thanks to Dennis for turning me onto Wayne's concerts several weeks ago. I've had some nice email conversations with Wayne and he helped me learn one of his songs by providing an instructional video and the guitar chords and the lyrics to that song.

Today, I should be able to get to that carpet cleaning and perhaps that repotting of my seedlings. However, repotting is dependent on whether I can access the fertilizer that was delivered recently. I don't know where we are in the opening cycle as we wait for the virus to go away from the packages. If I can't transplant them today, I'll just check on them and get to them tomorrow or Monday.

However, today or tomorrow, I may have to put on my hair-stylist hat and do Mary's do. My apologies to all of the professionals, like my niece, Amanda, but with our need to remain at a safe distance from people other than those we live with, I'll have to do the job.

Hey, if I can groom Ginger and my own beard, how hard can it be? I've watched some videos, so I should now qualify as at least a ranked amateur. Ciao
