Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation, and perhaps, across the world. It is just past 5:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 58º under rainy skies. Winds of 6 mph make it feel like 57°. Today's high-temperature forecast calls for 58º under skies with a 90% chance for T-showers early this morning,  that taper off to less than 15% by 9:00 a.m. However, there will be partly to mostly cloudy skies throughout the day.

In addition, there is a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 4:00 p.m. today. Dense fog will reduce visibility to a quarter-mile or less from St Joseph to Manistee. Low visibility will make navigation difficult on the "Big Lake." If you must navigate, you should proceed with caution, use proper fog signals, and make sure all running lights are on. You should also remember to use your radar and compass.

Wow, I'm glad that I don't have to take my ship out of port today. Oh wait, I don't have a ship, not even rowboat nor a dinghy, so I'm safe.

The sun will rise this morning @ 6:20 a.m. and it will set later @ 9:02 p.m.

A glance out of the WW (weather Window) indicates that my new DTWS (desktop weather station) is very accurate, as the temperature matches that of the NWS. It will take a few days for the unit to be able to accurately report the barometric pressure, but I can tell you for certain that there have been bolts of lightning and rumbles of thunder.

Once all of the T-storm activity is over, it may be a nice day to get outside with the fur-children and do some reading. However, I'm not a big fan of a wet deck, so....

Yesterday, Mary and I did some tandem baking after I returned from the podiatrist. I wanted to make some corn muffins from an old family recipe and with a terrific combination of duties, we had them mixed and in and out of the oven in about one-half hour. They look great and taste even better.

Next time, we may add actual kernels of corn.
We had a great spaghetti dinner that consisted of Mary's homemade pasta sauce that she had simmered for a couple of hours. I think she added about 10 different herbs and spices to the sauce before adding some of my vegan Italian meatballs. She ladeled her sauce over a pile of spaghetti noodles. This sauce was more successful than her last effort. No picture is available as of this writing.

I sat down last night to watch a presentation about macro photography by a rep from Olympus camera. Unfortunately, it was more of a sales pitch for Olympus and a showcase for his personal efforts. However, I did learn a bit about camera settings which allowed me to take a nice closeup of Ginger.

Today, we'll get to those things that I thought we'd get to yesterday, but which Mary reminded me weren't in our schedule until today. A visit to the veterinarian for dog food and a stop at JWs Too for some barbecue sauce and wine.

Otherwise, not much will be happening. Ciao.
