Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation, and perhaps, across the world. It is just after 7:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 47° under rainy skies. Winds of 13 mph make it feel like 41°. Today's high-temperature forecast calls for 47ยบ under rainy skies with a 70% probability.

The sun rose this morning @ 6:26 a.m. and it will set later @ 8:56 p.m.

That Freeze Watch is no more.

However, there is a  Lakeshore Flood Warning that will go into effect starting @ 2:00 p.m. today and continuing until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow for Allegan, Muskegon, Van Buren, and Ottawa counties. Parking lots and roads along the immediate lakeshore will experience minor flooding. Minor erosion of beaches and sand dunes is expected.

Not surprisingly, there will also be a Gale Warning in effect from 2:00 p.m. today until 2:00 a.m. tomorrow. North winds of 20 to 30 knots with gusts up to 35 knots and waves from 4 to 7 feet are expected from St Joseph to Whitehall. Strong winds will cause hazardous waves that could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions by remaining in port, seeking safe harbor, altering course, and/or securing their vessels for severe conditions. On the plus side, Surf's Up!

I got most everything on my agenda accomplished yesterday. I did not get to that transplanting of my seedlings but for sure today or tomorrow. How's that for a definitive maybe?

We collectively finished the crossword puzzle from Thursday's edition of the Grand Haven Tribune. These puzzles are reprints of the puzzles from the L.A. Times, so they get progressively harder as the week goes on. I think that this has been an especially difficult week.

I did get the carpets clean, so that is another off my list of ToDos.

We didn't accomplish much else except to watch another episode of Outlander, which we have dubbed the Claire and Jamie Show. We also watched an old episode of the original Bob Newhart Show.

Later, our local music venue, Seven Steps Up, paired with an artist from New York, singer/songwriter, Brian Dunne, to present a concert from his home studio. I liked his guitar playing. He plays a vintage Gibson Hummingbird acoustic/electric guitar and the harmonica. He is awesome.

Let's just say, that if you are a picker, this is one of the Holy Grails of guitars, especially the vintage ones.

A vintage Hummingbird can fetch over $4,000!

Until 1984, the Gibson Co. made guitars in Kalamazoo, MI. They closed the Kalamazoo site and moved to Nashville before they declared bankruptcy in May of 2014. Gibson is famous for the Hummingbird, the famous Les Paul electric series, and the ES series. ES stands for Electric Spanish. Gibson guitars have been played by Les Paul, Buddy Holly, Slash, of Guns and Roses, Eric Clapton, the immortal Chuck Berry, who had his Gibson buried with him, and Jerry Garcia of The Grateful Dead. The late Roy Orbison and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top also prized their own ES 335 guitars.

The list is long of the famous musicians who play Gibson's and they prize their vintage versions. Even though the ES 335 originally sold for $267.00, today they can range from $20,000 to $30,000 for these prized guitars.

We took the fur-children for a stroll through Central Park yesterday and they appreciated the time outdoors. We managed to avoid contact with other people and their fur-children too.

Today, I plan to write more, read more, play more music, etc. Mary wants to get into the kitchen and that's fine with me. Ciao.
