Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 5:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 39° under clear skies. Winds of 2 mph make it feel like 39°. Today's high-temperature forecast of 54º will be under partly cloudy skies. That high-temperature be about the same as yesterday.

Our next chance for consistent temperatures in the 60s is probably May 14. Sigh.

The sun will rise today @ 6:31 a.m. and set later @ 8:52 p.m.

I'd be remiss if I didn't acknowledge May's efforts in the kitchen yesterday. All of this stay home time has allowed both of us, well mostly Mary, to be more creative in the kitchen. Her latest effort was a recipe from a new to us vegan cookbook entitled: Simple Recipes Amazing Foods All Plants! BOSH! This cookbook is one of four in a series, Here is a picture that was taken by our Senior Staff Photographer of the final outcome next to one of my own efforts, a vegan Italian sausage.

Plain baked potatoes became Peri-Peri Hasselback baked potatoes when Mary went to the kitchen.
I had already made my latest batch of vegan Italian meatballs earlier. Once again, they turned out fine. Our lunch was the first jar of 13 bean soup.

I spent some time creating a new music folio for use downstairs and outdoors, if and when the weather breaks. Normally, I'd already have been in my summer uniform of a T-shirt and shorts and playing with Abigael on the front porch or our deck. But, as noted above, our first consistently 60º plus days are not expected until May 14! Once again, sigh!

Here's a picture, also taken by our Senior Staff Photographer, of Abigael in her summer home in the dining room. Next to her, is an art easel that I have converted to a table-top music stand to hold that music folio I mentioned. I am currently coloring a cover for that folio that I'll feature in a future edition of this blog.

Looking good!
I'd be remiss following yesterday's blog, if I didn't include a photo of Larry's band, Uneven Ground, composed of five members, all from West, MI.

They are:

On Mandolin, Guitar / Tim Staudacher
Guitar, Vocals / Dave Closz
Whistle, Flute, Bodhrán / Larry Halverson
Fiddle, Vocals / Courtney Hutson
Bodhrán, Mandolin, Guitar, Vocals / Rory Closz

That's Larry, stage right, playing the whistle at a performance of the West Michigan Concert Winds.
We watched a tape-delay broadcast of the Korean Baseball Organization because I miss baseball, a lot. But, just like baseball would be here in the US, if we had baseball, the stands are currently devoid of fans. Otherwise, the game and the players are the same. They have the same mannerisms, the same affects, etc. There is one slight difference though, the batters throw their bats with varying styles after hitting a home run.

Otherwise, not much is happening here at the manse. The fur-children wanted to take another sojourn through Lake Forest Cemetery yesterday, but we don't want to overdo, for them nor us.

Today, we have some housekeeping to do. Mary already started downstairs with vacuuming and I helped in the kitchen with the stove and the sink.

I still have some dusting and vacuuming to do upstairs and some dusting downstairs too. Ciao.
