Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. As I hit the publish button here in "The City", it will be just before 4:00 a.m.

Outside the WW the skies are, get ready, Dark! The current temperature is 65° as we drop to our overnight low of 63° and then begin our climb to today's high of 81°, That number would be just a number, if I didn't have to water, again, but I do, so it isn't. Our next chance for rain is Sunday, according to the NWS, and as rain events usually go around GH, that's iffy.

In sports, the boys in blue defeated the San Francisco Giants in the Friendly Confines, 5 - 4. That puts the boys one-half game ahead of the Giants for the Wild Card inclusion. The Tigers won over the Royals, with a final score of 8 - 6. My beloved Red Sox lost to the hated Yankees, 1 - 2, the reverse of their previous outcome. The Caps were also triumphant over the Clinton, IA Lumber Kings, with a convincing score of 9 - 3. Once again, .750 is the winning percentage.

Yesterday, I finished the highlighting. I am way ahead according to Mary. That means that now I'll have time to do all of things that I've been meaning to get to. Yeah right. Somehow, my days keep getting away from me. Walk the intrepid weather dog, pick up the newspaper, water the gardens, plan to get to the man-cave, plan to play with the girls, etc. Just thinking about it makes me worry that I'll never get to everything. I guess that's one more thing for my list, worry about the things on my list.

Oh well, Mary made a great dinner last night. A variation of a taco chip bake that was very tasty and very filling. We found time to sit about after that before the 9:00 p.m. GOP debate came on. That was an interesting experience. People who agreed with their positions and those who did not, probably didn't have their own positions switched.

No trains to spot.

At any rate, today will be filled with most of the things on my regular list. Probably the only variation is the watering, which of late, takes place about every two to three days. If I go too long, the veggies wilt.

Today, the sun will rise at 6 :41 a.m. and set at 8:58 p.m. I don't like it when the sun sets before 9:00 p.m. Ciao.
