Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. I guess it is closer to morning here in "The City" at 5:36 a.m.
Yesterday, no trains to spot
I'll be watering later this morning. No rain until Monday, maybe.
Mary got up and walked without STWD or me yesterday. That's OK, because at the pace that the intrepid one and I generally walk, she was better off without us.
The electrician came yesterday and changed out the light switches in the dining room. New switches, new LED bulbs, and voila, you can actually see in the room.
Mary and I walked over to the local Restore™ store a few blocks away to donate the old dimmers. It appears by the number of dimmers already in their bin, that we were not the first.
We stopped off at the St. Pat's Garage Sale on the way back. I got some new to me golf balls, but that was it.
In sports, the men in blue are still in third place with a record of 66-48. They did beat that other team from Chicago, 6 - 5. The Tigers too are in third place, with a record of 55 - 60, following their loss to the Astros, 1 - 5. My beloved Red Sox hammered the Mariners, 15 - 1, but remain in fifth place with a record of 51 - 64. Unfortunately, the Soxes' manager, John Farrell, is taking the balance of the season off to be treated for lymphoma. The bench coach will take over for the balance of the year. The Caps got past the Beloit, WI Snappers, 8 - 5. They too are in third place with a record of 60 - 55. Like I always say, any day where the Cubs and Red Sox win and that other team from Chicago loses is a good day.
My computer is haunted. The external monitor randomly blinks on and off, the external speakers cause iTunes to come on and start playing. Normally, I don't believe in ghosts or gremlins, but in this case, I am willing to reconsider.
Today is Walk the Beat in GH. I'll view some acts as Mary continues to work. I don't know that I like live music more than she, but I don't have to work and she does.
After watering, that will round out my day. The sun will rise at 6:50 a.m. and set at 8:47 p.m. Ciao.
