Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 5:30 a.m. in "The City." I am going to keep this as short as I can, because I have to spend less time in this chair to help my baking yak not bake so much.
Currently no precipitation is falling outside the WW. However, the seeds from the maple tree in the parkway are falling and covering everything in sight.
The weather today is supposed to be partly cloudy with a high temperature of 63°. There is no rain in the forecast for the next several days. The sun will rise at 6:08 a.m. and set at 9:16 p.m.
In sports, the boys in blue were rained out. The Tigers lost their third straight on the west coast to the Angels, 6 - 8. My beloved Red Sox fared even worse, falling to the TX Rangers, 0 - 8. The Caps also fell victim to the rain. The Blackhawks came out strong in Anaheim and defeated the Ducks, 5 - 3. The Ducks never got their act together. Now the Hawks will face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL Finals starting next Wednesday. I think that's one day before the NBA finals even begin.
It was cold and rainy yesterday, but that didn't stop STWD, Mary and I from making the morning trek to the farmer's market. We got some raw honey for Sally and some leafy greens for us. The intrepid one got to smell all new things along the way.
I was a busy beaver yesterday. I made apple sauce. did the laundry, and made potato leek soup from scratch for lunch. In between, I got in some time with the girls and worked in the man-cave. Maybe that's why my yak is aching so much. Dr. Mary has prescribed a day of no activity and just reading in my La-Z-Boy today. I think I can follow that proscription. STWD will need to go for a short walk, but that is something can do.
Ciao.
