Good morning GH. I hadn't planned to get up early this a.m, and it is just past 6:00 a.m. in "The City." However, as has been said by better men than I, "The best laid plan of etc., etc., etc."

The sun will be rising at 6:24 a.m., that's less time than I'll spend writing this blog. It will also set at 8:58 p.m. on what is expected to be cloudy day in the mid-50s with no rain in the forecast. STWD and I will be taking our morning walk in the face of a stiff wind. We, at least I, don't plan to be out for long.

Mary has much work to finish. I finished my portion of the latest project, so I have been given the day off. Yesterday became Forage Monday in lieu of Forage Friday, and I have heard from my boss, that yesterday will be followed by Forage Tuesday as she continues working. 1,000 plus pages just takes time.

I have things to keep me busy. Wow, I can't believe that I just wrote that. I sound like my mother-in-law as she described being "So busy!" in retirement. But there are things that I have been planning to get to. Some work in the man-cave, some reading, playing with the girls, being a nuisance. Those things take time.

In sports, the boys in blue defeated the Mets, 4 - 3. The Tigers had the day off before beginning a series with the Twins tonight. My beloved Red Sox slipped past the As 5 - 4. The Caps returned to action against the Bowling Hot Rods and won, 3 - 1.The Bulls also return to action tonight, tied with the Cavaliers at 2 - 2. I should mention that the Blackhawks still await their next round opponent in their playoff series, after going 4 - 0 against Minnesota. No comment on "Deflategate."

So that looks like enough. I may have just beaten or tied the sun rise. Oops, the old clock on my computer says I hit the publish button at 6:28 a.m. Ciao.
