Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is fast closing on 6:00 a.m. in "The City."

I'm once again going to try following the KISS formula and thus, make an effort to get this blog closed out before sunrise @ 6:06 a.m. and long before the sun sets @ 9:28 p.m. Later this evening, the NWS is forecasting a 60% chance of T-storms as we peak @ 78° after our current overnight low of 59°.

Ginger and I spotted MMRR locomotives #2025 and #2019 as they headed south towing 16 CHCs @ 8:40 a.m. Later, @ 1:02 p.m., we spotted those same locomotives heading north as they towed three CHCs, two DBTCs, one GTC, and one DWTC.

Sports news yesterday was mixed. The 42 - 34 Cubs, behind rookie starting pitcher Duane Underwood Jr., fell to the Dodgers in La La land, 1 - 2. The Cubs are having trouble scoring runs these days, especially with Kris Bryant sidelined with shoulder inflammation. He is day to day at this time. Speaking of starting pitchers, Yu Darvish started a rehab assignment for the South Bend, IN Cubs last night and looked good. However, his efforts were not enough to forestall a loss to the victorious Caps, who won the game, 4 - 2. The Caps and the SB Cubs play again tonight @ 7:05 p.m.

My beloved 52 - 27 Red Sox were off yesterday before they welcome the Anaheim Angels to Fenway for a game tonight @ 7:05 p.m.

The 36 - 43 Tigers fell to the Oakland Athletics yesterday afternoon, 4 - 5. They play the As again tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

I got out yesterday and rode my bike for about five miles. I am taking it slow so as not to overextend myself. I also found time to do a few chores around the manse.

Today, I have a short appointment at the chiropractor's office to get more tape on my left-shoulder. I removed the old tape yesterday, but I have to say that my shoulder is feeling better. Mary spent more time editing my novel. She rightly pointed out that I have some continuity issues, but she likes the characters and the story, so far.

Otherwise, that's enough for now. Ciao.
