Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just slightly past 3:45 a.m. in "The City." As predicted by the NWS, the view out the WW is rainy and dark. (The dark part is my addition.) Today and tomorrow, rain and T-storms are in the forecast.
I got out to the orthopedist yesterday. All went well. I rode my bicycle on a cool fall morning in GH.
For lunch, Mary served up something great from just about all parts of her new range. Steamed carrots, potato salad with parsley and "butter" spread, and baked tofu loaf covered with her latest incarnation of home made barbecue sauce. I pronounce them all a keeper. Later she made a great dinner based on something she saw on TV about a restaurant in Okinawa that has learned to cater to the tastes of the American service personnel who are stationed nearby. It was basically a taco without a shell. Rice, lentil filling on top, lettuce, tomato, and cheese topped with salsa and "sour cream." Another keeper, so that's a "twofer."
Somewhere in there, we journeyed to that big box everything store and survived. I know that some people get a great thrill out of the experience, but we just endure it. We almost got to the East Town market in the park, but it apparently is over for the year. So instead, we ended up at Sporty's the favorite watering hole on the other side of the highway.
We sat down to watch the latest episodes of NCIS and NCIS New Orleans when we got home. I got tired and retired to the media room. I didn't last long there and that was the end of me. I fell asleep at the end of NCIS New Orleans, so I don't know how it ended.
Today, I have some household chores to do/complete and then I'll read some of the N.Y. Times from last Sunday. Depending on the weather, STWD may or may not go out for the morning walk. That is often something that she chooses not to do when it is wet outside.
The sun will rise at 8:12 and set at 6:42 p.m. In between, our high will reach a purported 58° under rainy skies with windy conditions. Ciao.
