Good evening GH. Welcome to a special Tuesday night edition of my regular Wednesday blog from "The City." It is just passing 11:00 p.m. and I am here to say, "This is the year!" "Cubs Win!, Cubs Win!, Cubs Win!" "Hey! Hey!" "Holy Mackerel!" "Holy Cow!" "Whee!" The Cubs took it to the Cardinals by a final score of 6 - 4. They Cubs now await the winner of the other National League divisional game, either the Mets or the Dodgers. If it is the Dodgers, it will take another game to decide the winner.

If it's the Mets, the series is over and it will bring back memories of that fateful summer of 1969, the late Ron Santo's pain, and the fact that he never got over the Cubs inability to win it all that year. He could never bring himself to like the Mets. That's why the Mets need to win this series, so that this year's edition of the Cubs can avenge Ron Santo, and win the World Series for him. Well, it's over in NYC. Thursday, the fifth and final game of the series takes place. The Dodgers won this one 3 - 1.

Elsewhere in the news, the dinner that Mary prepared tonight was nothing short of perfect. At my suggestion, she found a recipe for dirty rice, which she veganized to go along with vegan nachos, both of which accompanied the Cubs game as they beat the Cardinals 6 - 4. A monster home run by Kyle Schwarber, that sailed over the right field bleachers was the final nail in the Cardinals coffin. Most of the runs scored by the Cubs in the series came from home runs and their RBIs. ,

Earlier today, I got my second knee treatment. By tomorrow, my knees will be sore for an additional day. It is still worth it, as the long term benefits outweigh the short term pain.

I still have to make it over to Guitar Haven and see about my effects pedal. Perhaps after the morning walk with STWD. Other than that, Mary has to get to work on her indexing project.

The sun will rise at 7:57 a.m. and set at 7:04 p.m. Ciao.
