Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just passing 4:30 a.m. in "The City", where the current temperature outside the WW is 37°, the overnight low. Later today, we'll rebound to 60° under mostly sunny skies. In short, it should be a great day for gardening on the vast PE and walking with STWD.
Speaking of the intrepid one, she has been acting strangely the last few days. We have to decide if she needs to see her doctor, or if she is just going through a phase. Mary thinks that Sugar is feeling warm in general and her ears seem particularly so, but I am unable to tell. I think I'll check in on her this morning and see how she is doing. I can be such a worrywart over our "Fur Child" and I don't like to take any chances, but I don't want to unnecessarily make a trip to the doctor's office either.
In any event, we'll get to the gardening after the morning walk and see how Sugar is doing. Plus, we have a new kitchen stove arriving between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. today, so I may want to take her out for that walk during that time period just to avoid the inevitable confrontation when strange people visit the PE. Sugar can be very territorial.
The new stove is arriving because Mary tried to get used to the electric stove that came with the house, but when she had "difficulties" with the pancakes she tried to make for breakfast yesterday, she vowed to get that gas stove that she has been yearning to purchase. So that sent us out yesterday afternoon to make said purchase. The old stove works fine, but it is difficult to decide how hot a heating element is, it takes forever to cool off one of those elements, and the end results can be uneven, to say the least. The new stove has a convection oven, five burners, with one of those in the center of a top that allows sliding pots easily from one burner to another.
Other than that, we stopped in at the favorite watering hole on our way home and then I settled in to finish the pulp large print novel that I started. I can take it back to the library during this morning's walk.
So to recap: Morning walk, stove delivery, check on Sugar's health, possible visit to the doctor, gardening, and reading the newspaper. I think I'll take a day off from reading a book.
The sun will rise this morning at 8:11 a.m. and set later tonight at 6:45 p.m. Ciao.
