Good morning GH.
It is just after 11:30 AM. The current temperature is 19° under
snowy skies. Sugar the Weather Dog has had her morning walk and she loved
it. I'm just happy to be indoors. We have a winter weather advisory
until 5 PM today.
Mary made scrambled eggs
and toast for breakfast. She put jelly on my toast. It was good. I put hot sauce on my eggs, bu then I always do. I would have chosen peanut, but then I always do that too. Good thing
I'm not allergic to peanuts.
We got our first holiday
card from Kerry and Ed and the kids. Now I have to get ours in the mail.
I think Mary wants to include a personal message in some.
We had two trains last
night. One at about 12:30 AM with a string of cars. Another at
about 2:30 AM, with just two locomotives. That's the train report for today.
I finished a book called Calico
Joe last night. It's a new book by John Grisham. The story
is about a mythical 1973, Chicago Cubs season. A young ballplayer is
called up from the minors and has a remarkable two weeks. Then a bean
ball thrown by a Mets pitcher ends his career. Grisham interspersed
actual facts with fiction. It made for a good story and a good read.
That looks like about
enough for today. Ciao
