Good early morning GH. It is just past 5:00 AM in "The City" and the current temperature is 38 degrees as we head for a showery high of 51. Sunrise will be at 8:00 AM today. Tomorrow the weather goes south so to speak, so I won't mind staying inside for a while. Mary says that she wants to go out for some Asian food as my allergy to sesame won't let me have any. I think she should.

At about 8:00 AM, I will be in surgery for my shoulder. I should be out no later than 9:30 AM, but that all depends on what the doctor discovers while he is in there. I am hoping for the best. I have one more antibacterial shower to take this AM, and then I should be as ready as I can be to face the unknown. I haven't had any food since about 5:00 PM last night, so that won't present a problem. Mary has her work to take with her while she waits. I hope that I haven't been too weird the last few days. I don't really have any idea what the actual aftermath will be like, so I will be like everyone else. I am pretty certain that I will be a bit groggy and disoriented later today. I wonder if I can milk my convalescence for any special favors?

Tuesday, I set up the Christmas tree and wrapped Mary's presents in my usual style. Let's just say that if I had to make a living as a package wrapper, I'd starve. But it is the thought that counts. I also got to read some of my new book and the character is familiar. I like when that happens. I have to have that book back in four days, so I'll have to try reading more tomorrow.

We stopped in at the grocery store to get those things that Mary needed. I got the pleasure of returning the empty cans. Gosh, I don't know how I got so lucky. I do know that if I didn't have that "chance," Mary wouldn't get to it anytime soon. I think she detests that activity almost as much as she does pumping gasoline into the car.

As I mentioned yesterday, Sugar has been very empathetic, sleeping next to the bed and getting in some lap time. A man couldn't ask for a better companion, except for Mary. I know that the last time Sugar let me out of her sight, I was gone for a few weeks, so she is being cautious.

Well, I may be away from the blogosphere for a while. I will have to try using my speech recognition software for blogging. Necessity is the mother of invention they say. Ciao.
