Good morning GH. It is just past 12:00 PM in "The City" and the current temperature is a brisk 21 degrees with a light snow falling until 2:00 PM. Tomorrow a little warmer and a smaller chance of snow. Sugar the Weather Dog went for her morning walk and she prefers to be inside. What she will do when it actually gets cold we will have to wait and see.
As you can see, I am back at the blog on an abbreviated basis. I am on the mend, but is will be a long process. However, like the the Little Engine that Could, I have the determination to make it up the hill. Otherwise, my days and nights have been taken up with insomnia caused by the prescribed pain pills and sitting in the chair. Sugar wants to join me, but she will have to wait. She doesn't understand, but that is as it must be. Soon I hope. At best, probably the 18th when I see the doctor again.
Mary has been a trooper, but she admits there is a reason that she gave up the aide business many years ago. I am typing this in a one/two handed style that is a bit slow. I meant to try my voice recognition software, but Mary only has so many hands. Maybe tomorrow. I would still have to cut and paste from a word processing program, but I think it is possible.
Tonight is the Jingle Bell parade, but I won't make it this year. Even if I wasn't incapacitated, it is still cold. In sports, NIU went down in flames last night in the MAC Bowl, losing to Bowling Green 27 - 47 to end their season at 12 - 1. Maybe another bowl bid will come their way, but it won't be a biggie. Tonight, MSU faces off against Ohio State at 8:00 PM for all the marbles.
Speaking of little trains, last night I was awake to see something I have never seen before. A train with twin locomotives and a little switch engine in the mix. I guess that the little engine was being moved from one yard to another, because it didn't make the return trip. That's all for now. Ciao.
