Good evening GH, and all the ships at sea. It is just after 8:00 PM in "The City" and the current temperature is 25 degrees under snowy skies. We are heading down to a low of 13 and the forecast is for three to six inches of additional snow before morning. We get a respite from any more accumulation of snow until Wednesday, when one to three more inches may fall. Sugar the Weather Dog is enjoying the snow. You would think that she would tire of it, but not yet.

Speaking of Sugar, she once again served in her role as the household sous dog, as I baked another loaf of my now world famous banana nut bread. Plus, I also baked some chocolate chip cookies, since I had the oven going. As Mary noted, you get a three-for when you do that. You get the first baking, then you get an additional item baked at a higher temperature, and finally, you get to leave the door open to add heat to the house. What's not to like?

I should mention, that mixing things with a hand mixer and having limited use of one arm, made the process a tad longer. I cleaned up, which also took a bit longer, but I did it.

Mary made her now famous sauerkraut and Swiss cheese sandwiches for lunch, and then Chorizo sausage tacos for dinner. I washed those down with the end slice from my bread loaf. Sugar wanted some, but I was good to her by not offering any. I want her to keep her girlish figure. Then, I unloaded the dishwasher, which took additional time too. Surprise.

I have that physical therapy appointment in the AM which I had to cancel due to the weather last week. That requires that the driveway be cleared before then. Once again, the man who does that for us during my convalescence will be pressed into service. I hope to get back into the fray soon. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of my life. Thanks Bogey.

I expect to hear the return of the trains tonight. Update, the train came by at about 1:00 AM, with the usual twin locomotives and towing the usual array of covered hopper cars and black tank cars. They aren't fazed by the snowfall. One thing I learned early this AM. When you are experiencing insomnia, there is a seemingly never ending string of old television reruns to wile away your time.

I did try more highlighting for Mary today. I can last about one-half hour before the ache in my shoulder gets too painful. I have about the same endurance when typing. So until...Tea time comes in the morning and the sun rises at 8:14 AM, Ciao.
