Good morning GH. I started this blog many months ago, and I intend to keep on writing it, but I will also be using two spaces after a period, in spite of warnings from my editorial staff that I am in conflict with what are the stylistic norms for writers. Some habits and views are hard to break. For further information, go to the following web address:

Anyway, I digress. The current view out the Weather Window is dark and wet. Snow has not yet begun to fall, in spite of the forecast for our area. Currently, the temperature on the desktop is 34 cool degrees. We can use all the precipitation we can get, but Mary and I have enjoyed the past several days of above average temperatures. Now, this will force us to stay in and work instead of goofing off.
Sugar the Weather Dog is sound asleep, so she has nothing to add this morning. It is nearly 3:30, and I am up only because I went to bed too early. I'll have to stay awake in order to break this bad habit. Still, I like being able to work undisturbed. There are indeed trade offs in life.
As I noted earlier in this blog, no more goofing off. I have to get busy on my work for Mary and I also have to find time to gloat. While the Broncos lost, the Packers also lost. For a transplanted Bears fan, and in support of other ex-pat fans, I am happy that the Packers were sent packing. Sorry Ellen, but them's the breaks. Besides, since I now live where I do, I am supposed to be a Lion's fan. Go Cubs!
I think it is time for bed now, because I am starting to get sleepy. I will be getting UP for Chris Hayes on MSNBC in few hours, and I look forward to that. It is an informative two hours and of course, I get inside info on new books that are coming into the publishing world. What's not to like.
So, until something else comes up, I'll end my listening to Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, etc., and say, Ciao. Oh yeah, it will soon be...Tea time too.
