A slight update from the previous blog.  We didn't make it to the presentation last night.  Truth is, the aches and pains caught up to us.  Instead, we had a great home made salad bar and then watched TV.  Hopefully, the movie will be on the PBS station at some point.  Otherwise, the evening was less about stress, unless you count the news reports about politics.  As always, the GOP makes my blood boil.  I know that I should be able to accept the fact that it is the normal course of political campaigns, but when I see a guy tell me that to have common ground, you have to have common goals, which to him means that if your only goal is to get the president out of the White House, then there will be no compromise.  I was buoyed by one of the contributors on our favorite news outlet finally stating the truth, that the real problem is that the president is a black man.  His policies aside, that's the real problem.  Listening to the great unwashed mass of low information voters talk, you begin to get disheartened sometimes.  Since the pols show that people are listening, but the politicians are not, then there is hope.  Oh well, I have to keep the faith.  Governing and running to govern are two very distinct activities and to the GOP, they are mutually exclusive.  Tea time!
