Another day is sort of dawning here in GH.  No sun yet, but since it is cloudy at this time, it is unlikely to appear anytime soon.   Current temperature is 37 degrees, so for February 16, I can't complain.  We are heading for a high of around 40 today, and the fear is we may get too much rain.  Oh my!  A train just went by, but with the current state of the sunshine, it was hard to see.  This summer, I will be on the front porch, "playing" with my reality scale train set.  I never knew it could be so good.  Speaking of the front porch, there is a meeting next week regarding the proposed street race that that guy wants to hold here in the next couple of years.  The discussion is to be about the proposed feasibility, safety concerns, and most importantly, the proposed route.  My vote will be for the route that goes right past my front porch.  Safety, hey these are fast cars, so as long as they don't come up on my porch, I'll take my chances.   Besides, what a photo op.  And, I should be able to get a pit pass, I think that would only be fair.  I've been to the evening cruise through town in Elkhart Lake, WI, and it really doesn't get any better than that, let me assure you.  Plus, the local taverns and restaurants stand to make a lot of extra money during that time.  The town would be crowded, but then it is during the Coast Guard fest which I understand also brings in a lot of tourists and money, so what's another fest going to matter, especially one with cars instead of boats.   In addition, we could add that to our list of attractions in the city.  We could put a race car next to the Coast Guard boat out on Beacon.  If that doesn't get people's attention, what would?   Oh well, it's tea time.
