Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. across the nation and across the world. It is just past 6:30 a.m. in "The City", where the current, overnight low, and "Real Feel" temperatures are all 72°.

Today's high temperature will be a steamy 84° for the patrons of the Coast Guard Festival Craft Show in Central Park. Tonight, the low temperature will only drop back to that aforementioned 72°.

Tomorrow's high temperature will be even steamier @ 86°. Remember that old saw, "Hot enough for you?" Guess what? It is!

The sun rose @ 6:39 this morning and it will set later @ 9:01 p.m.

Baseball news yesterday was mostly bad, but that's to be expected when the MLB™ teams I follow, the Cubs, the Red Sox, and the Tigers all lost, with the Cubs dropping two to the Cardinals.

The lone bright spot would be the win by the Caps over the Lug Nuts, 5 - 1. The Caps and the Lug Nuts square off again tonight @ 7:05 p.m. in Lansing.

As for the rest of my teams, the Cubs will be home today for a game versus the Marlins @ 2:05 p.m. The Red Sox will still be in KC for a game versus the Royals @ 8:10 p.m., and theTigers will be also home tonight to face the Rays @ 7:10 p.m.

Sadly, Miggy is feeling the effects of a lot of years on the baseball diamond and his knees will be rested to ease the pain he is feeling.

Otherwise, P/T went well for me yesterday and I am signed up for four more weeks of pool therapy. I really like the benefits of the pool as it takes the strain off of my lower yak.

We continued to ear-read yesterday, finishing our latest book by A.J. Pearce, Yours Cheerfully, set in England during WW II. Sadly, that is the last book in this series, at least for now.

Now, we get to return to the series featuring Maggie Hope, with the third installment, His Majesty's Hope, also written by Susan Ella MacNeal. This series has many books. all set during the WW II era.

Otherewise, we will be reading the newspapers, print reading, playing music, coloring and other artistic pursuits, solving crossword puzzles, cross-stitching, going to that big-box nearly everything store, and staying out of the heat. Ciao.
