Good morning or good evening, wherevcr you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City", where the current temperature under clear skies is a very pleasant 67°, which corresponds with the "Real Feel" temperature of 67° propelled by a wind out of the east @ six mph.

The high temperature today is forecast by the NWS to reach 77° with an overnight low temperature of 64°, also under clear skies. The sun will rise this morning @ 7:05 a.m. before setting @ 8:26 p.m.

I got out yesterday long enough to walk STWD, but Mary and Ginger took a stroll down to the waterfront, reaching Coast Guard Station Grand Haven, before returning home. Friday and yesterday, they took some great pix of GH and our own back-forty.

All in all, Mary and Ginger had two great safaris and STWD and I had but one.

Yesterday in sports news was at best, so-so.

The 55 - 72 Cubs were once again outplayed by the 66 - 59 Brewers, losing 0 - 7. What can I say? Today's game between those two teams begins in Milwaukee @ 2:10 p.m. with RHP Adrian Sampson, 1 - 4, on the mound for the Cubs.

My beloved 62 - 65 Red Sox righted the ship for one day, defeating the 69 - 57 Rays, 5 - 1, behind the 11K performance of LHP Rich Hill, 6 - 5. Today's game begins in Fenway Park @ 1:35 p.m. with RHP Nick Pivetta, 9 - 9, tossing for the Sox.

The 49 - 78 Tigers looked like a real team last night, as LHP Eduardo Rodriguez, 3 - 3, pitched one earned run baseball over six innings to rout the 58 - 68 Rangers, 11 - 2. Today's game features the stylings of RHP Drew Hutchinson, 1 - 7, for the Tigers beginning @ 2: 35 p.m.

The 63 - 56 Caps have bounced back, as they defeated the 66 - 53 South Bend, IN Cubs, 3 - 1. The Caps and the Cubs play an afternoon game today beginning @ 2:00 p.m.

Last night, the Chicago Bears, 3 - 0 in the preseason, narrowly defeated the 1 - 2 Cleveland Browns, 21 - 20. Bears starting QB, Justin Fields, looked sharp while he was in there, in spite of the Browns having none of their starting defense on the field. 

The Detroit Lions, 1 - 1, in the preseason, face the 2 - 0 Pittsburgh Steelers today @ 4:30 p.m.

Next Friday, 9-2-22, the Spartans of Michigan State are set to play the Broncos of W. Michigan @ 7:00 p.m. for their 2022 season opener.

The Wolverines of Michigan kick off their 2022 season on Saturday, 9-3-22, in a game versus the Colorado State Rams starting @ 12:00 p.m.

Friday, I put on my automotive technicians hat and changed the turn signal bulb on our Jeep Renegade before doing a good cleaning on the interior.

Otherwise, yesterday was a day for ear-reading, print reading, crossword solving, indoor chores, and retirement. 

Today features more ear-reading, more print reading, more cookie baking, more walkabouts, and my ukulele session tonight @ 9:00 p.m. Ciao.
