Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world.

I suppose I could have used the saying made famous by the late gossip columnist, Walter Winchell, "Good evening Mr. and Mrs. North and South America and all the ships at sea", but that takes too long. Or, I can continue to use a paraphrased version of Jack Webb's opening from the radio and TV show, Dragnet, in which he intoned, "This is the city, Los Angeles, California." I like my opening as it is, so...

It is just past 9:30 p.m. in "The City."

We have a current temperature of 57° under cloudy-skies that feels like 56° with a wind out of the south @ five MPH. Tonight's low will drop to a seasonal 46° with a chance for rain later tonight, if the radar is accurate. However, that is always iffy here in GH. Tomorrow's high temperature will reach 53°, also  under cloudy-skies with an overnight low of 40°.

In addition, there is a Small Craft Advisory going into effect from St. Joseph to Pentwater beginning @ 2:00 a.m. tomorrow and continuing until 2:00 p.m. tomorrow night, with wind speeds of 15 to 25 knots and possible gusts up to 30 knots that may propel waves from three to five feet in height. The sun will rise tomorrow @ 6:35 a.m. and set tomorrow evening @ 8:48 p.m.

I spent part of my day reading and completing the polishing of the upstairs woodwork here in the manse. Then we traveled to Spring Lake Ace Hardware™ so that I could buy one, yes, just one, item that I needed, I didn't have to buy a package of three, or five, or more. I wanted one and the helpful hardware man at Ace helped me find exactly what I needed.

We then set out for a photo op to build on what I had started Sunday afternoon. Mission accomplished. I'll share those pix shortly. But first, I am going to add a picture of what I accomplished upon our return this afternoon. I made what Mary dubbed, "Your best stir-fry to date." In this case, I have to agree.

The taste with fresh ingredients that included perfectly sliced, diced, and sautéed vegetables that included ginger powder, red pepper, julienned carrots, water chestnuts, celery, bean sprouts, along with tofu, molasses, and tamari atop rice was really, really good.

In baseball news, the Cubs game against the Dodgers was postponed tonight due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a double-header tomorrow with the first game beginning @ 2:20 p.m. EDT.

The Tigers mercifully had the day off today before beginning a series tomorrow night in Boston against my beloved Red Sox @ 7:10 p.m. EDT.

The West Michiga White Caps, AKA "The Caps" open their season tomorrow night in Ft. Wayne, IN versus the TinCaps with a game beginning @ 7:05 p.m. It has been over one-year since the Caps have played organized baseball.

Now on to those promised pix.

I used my everyday telephoto lens for this tulip closeup.

Same  here, but although this flower looks like a tulip, I don't believe it is.

In the back-forty of the vast-gardens.

St. Francis is as far back as you can get in our garden.

We segued from Ace Hardware to the shores of Spring Lake for this shot.

Then we were on our way down a no-outlet road that led to here.

When Mary espied these wild turkeys.

This path looked inviting, but we do have poison ivy here in Michigan, so we opted to stay out.

From the non-floating pier, I got this shot.

On the way home, we saw "Bigfoot!"

One of the critters decided to gnaw through the screen wire atop one of our planters in search of something.

Tomorrow, more indoor chores, the first of my five knee injections, and that's about it. I need to play more music, and that should be enough for one day. Ciao.
