Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 12:00 a.m. in "The City."

We have a current temperature of 29° under clear skies that feels like 29° with only a one mph wind blowing out of the north. Our overnight low is supposed to drop to 25°. Tomorrow's high-temperature is forecast by the NWS to reach 43° under mostly-sunny skies before we see our overnight low of 34°.

There are no advisories, watches, nor warnings in effect at this time. The sun will rise tomorrow @ 7 :01 a.m. and set later @ 6:48 p.m.

It was such a nice day yesterday, that we repaired to the back-forty for some late winter cleanup. In addition, Mary took our basil plants out to her potting bench and replanted those too.

With her assistance, I cleared up the accumulated gravel on the back sidewalk and also moved part of an overgrown mum plant to a new location. We also found time to deploy our new outdoor furniture cushions and rake up some  of the accumulated detritus from the plowing of the snow. All in all, a great day in the outdoors. We both enjoyed the chance to get outside and enjoy some outdoor activity after a long and snowy winter and the continued Covid-19 pandemic restrictions..

After brunch and a crossword, we hung my latest painting in the back stairwell. I took a picture, but the angle of the stairs and the limited lighting made it a difficult shot to take. But, here is the best of the lot.

I wanted something for the wall downstairs and Mary suggested that I paint a window and add something that might be seen through that window. So, the final result was a window frame, panes of glass, and a tree branch, all done in acrylics.

Wednesday, Mary and Ginger went to that big-box nearly everything store for a pick up and while they were out, they stopped at the Lake Forest Cemetery and went walkabout. They parked near the children's burial area and Mary took some shots of the path she and Ginger followed to the area behind the children's plots. I think she got some excellent shots with her Olympus TG-6 Tough camera.

This was taken as they walked from the secluded area behind the children's gravesites.

Like I often say, the smallest things often make the best subjects.

I especially like how the shadows from the barren trees fell on the ground.

Again, the smallest subjects, in this case some moss on the path, made for a great pic..

Today, we have no specific plans. Sugar is doing well following her recent surgery. However, per doctor's orders, she is not to go outside without a leash and she is not supposed to exercise for 14 days. So, she cannot go walkabout for a while.

Otherwise, it is indoor chore day and a chance to make more vegan Italian meatballs. Ciao.
