Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."
I was busy yesterday. I got those plants planted and everything watered. Then I set my sights on the driveway and pulled all of the invasives that I could find. I get a perverse thrill out of that activity. I attempted to paint that decorator door, but the stencils got stuck to the paint and pulled part of it away. I am hoping for some repairs today.
I also deduced how to attach the batteries to the Big Brute too. I just needed to stare at the connections for a while. I hope to charge the batteries today and go for a road test.
In sports, the boys in blue were victorious over that other team from Chicago, 3 - 1. The boys now have an overall record of 47 - 40, good enough for third place, as they head into the All-Star break. The Tigers were less successful as they dropped another game to the Twins, 1 - 7 and fell to an overall record of 44 - 44 and third place. My beloved Red Sox lost to the Yankees 6 - 8. They are now at 40 - 47 and in fifth place. The Caps also fell. They lost to the Hot Rods 2 - 5. They too are in fifth place with an overall record of 44 - 42.
In weather news, the NWS is still forecasting T-storms today. At 9:00 a.m., their forecast calls for an 85% chance of storms and by 10:00 a.m., that jumps to a 90% chance with a prediction for severe T-storms. Only STWD will know for certain.
If the forecast for storms is accurate, and somehow I doubt it, then I'll confine my activities to indoors in the early hours of daylight. STWD won't mind.
Speaking of indoors, I am back on the highlighting gang again. I started my latest effort yesterday. I have only 191 pages to go. At least this book looks like it will be interesting.
If the storms don't flood the PE, I'll play with the girls today. That always makes me feel good.
The sun will rise at 6:17 a.m. and set at 9:23 p.m. Ciao.
