Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just passing 2:00 a.m. in "The City."

Yesterday morning I got a real surprise, when an alert popped up on my email to tell me that a Severe Storm Watch had been issued for Ottawa County in MI. That was unexpected, according to what I had read from the NWS the previous day. The skies darkened, the wind blew, and then the thunder and lightning started. The T-storms only lasted for about one and one-half hours, but the net effect is that I didn't have to water and STWD closeted herself in her hide-e-hole.

Later in the day the storms returned, but nothing as severe as those in the morning. In any event, the prediction for storms on Tuesday is no longer valid as of this time.

I went to the Irish Jam session at the library in the early afternoon.. A session that our mentor had predicted would last about one hour, soon became two. All good.

Afterwards, Mary, Gwen and I went downtown for a visit to the Tri-Cities Historical Museum and to visit a local store. We stopped in at the Post to see Sally, and what to my wondering eyes did appear, but a reward for putting my daily donation in the sign in box near the door. I received a tad over $35.00. What's not to like?

Then we walked over to JWs for dinner. As we were walking, the skies darkened, but we escaped the rain as we ate our dinner. All good, as only a small amount of rain fell on us as we sprinted home following our meal. By then, I was too tired to do much else, so I headed upstairs for a nap. That lasted until about one and one-half hours ago. I was just going to blog, but I sat down to look at some music, and like Mary often says, "I went down the worm hole", and I was soon revising some music. Oh well, the outcome was good.

In sports, the boys in blue were victorious in Atlanta, defeating the Braves 4 - 0. Jon Lester had a strange no hitter going into the eighth inning, until it was broken up by a bloop single by the Braves catcher, A.J. Pierzynski. So for a short time, the boy's bats came to life. Maybe today, they can take the rubber game of the series.

The Tigers were not so lucky, losing to the Orioles, 0 - 3. My beloved Red Sox, fell by the same score to the Angels. The Caps also were less than successful, losing to the South Bend Cubs, 3 - 5.

Today, I don't want to do anything except read, spend time in the "Bone Zone" with STWD, and that will be enough.

The sun will rise at 6:22 a.m. and set at 9:19 p.m. Ciao.
