Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 1:00 a.m. in "The City."
Last evening I spent a few hours on the porch just watching the world go by. Sometimes the time you spend doing nothing is the best time of all.
Unfortunately, that was the theme of my day. We did get to Hudsonville for some shopping, but that was the extent of our collective productivity. Mary did get in some time on her rug project while I was lazing on the porch, but that didn't impact me one way or the other.
I didn't get in any time with the girls. I didn't do any reading. I didn't plant the new plants, although I did water them to keep them healthy. I didn't work on the wind chime. I didn't paint Mary's decorator door. In short, zip, zero, nada was accomplished. I did text with Adam a bit, but that was just a trip down memory lane.
In sports, it was a mixed bag kind of day. The boys in blue lost to that other team from Chicago, 1 - 5. The Tigers were barely in their game either, losing to the Twins, 5 - 9. My beloved Red Sox defeated the Yankees, 5 - 3, and the Caps, on Star Wars™ night, defeated the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 3 - 2. Patrick Sharp was traded by the Blackhawks to the Dallas Stars in a four player deal. Only time will tell how this trade works out. With the salary cap in the NHL, this is always a coin flip.
Once again, the weather in GH was pleasant, but the forecast for rain today has been moved to Monday. Do I water? Probably, because the official forecaster for Jax Meanderings, STWD, hasn't told me what to expect. Will T-storms occur? Will STWD be in her hide-e-hole? Stay tuned. Today our high is expected to be 80° under mostly cloudy skies.
I hope to get to some of my postponed chores today. The plants still need to be grounded. The painting still needs to be done. The chime still needs to be completed, and the girls still long for my caress. Oh, I also have to figure out how the batteries connect to the charger and the Big Brute.
The sun will rise today at 6:16 a.m., and set at 9:24 p.m. Ciao.
