Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just passing 2:00 a.m. in The City." This blog is either very late, as I missed yesterday, or it is very early the this hour. I guess the choice is yours.

Why did I miss yesterday? No specific reason, I just failed to arise in the wee hours. For me that's a good thing, as I often wake up and can't get back to sleep. That means that when I get the chance to sleep in, I do.

But I digress. Part of the problem was that I stayed up late Wednesday evening to watch the heartbreaking loss of the boys in blue to the Cardinals, 5 - 6. They had already come from behind when they suffered the all too common fate of a loss to the Cardinals. That came about on a two run homer off the bat of Jhonny Peralta, a former Tiger. Next up, that other team from Chicago. Speaking of the Tigers, they had back to back wins over Seattle and Minnesota, with scores of 5 - 4 and 4 - 2 respectively the last two days. They face the Twins again today. My beloved Red Sox closed out a short series with the Marlins, by sweeping them with a 6 - 3 win on Wednesday. Yesterday, they were off. Next up, the Yankees. The Caps lost to the Lake County Captains on Wednesday 1 - 6, and then were rained out yesterday.

Fifth Third Ballpark is not that far from here, but the weather is a world away it seems, as we had no rain.

Speaking of rain and the weather, the skies threatened yesterday, but no rain fell. Today, it will be mostly sunny, also the same for Saturday. The next chance for rain is Sunday with a.m. T-storms. I'll have to wait for STWD's forecast to be sure. Temperatures are on the rise, heading into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Good for tomatoes. All of this is a round about way of saying that I'll have to water the vegetable gardens on the PE later this morning.

Were there trains? Yes, but I only heard them on Wednesday, with the northbound train in the afternoon composed of heavily laden DBTCs according to Mary. I was in the man-cave talking to Adam on the phone when the northbound run passed by. I was here all day yesterday, and didn't hear any trains pass through.

I got most of my regular chores done yesterday, so today I plan to walk with STWD, read, and that's about it. Mary wants to go to Holland too. The sun will rise at 6:14 a.m. and set at 9:25 p.m. Ciao.
