Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 11:00 p.m. in "The City." A current temperature of 34°, will drop to an overnight low of 27° under dark skies. Tomorrow, the daytime high is expected to rise to 48° under mostly sunny skies. Friday, will be warmer still, 50°, under mostly cloudy skies. GR is more inland than our little community on the shore of the "Big Lake", and that means that by Monday, they are expecting a high of 56°.

Today was an odd day. Mary's computer was continuing to show it's age, so we traveled to Muskegon to go to the big box electronics store to purchase a new on. It seems as though they had very few in stock, but we were able to purchase one that had a sufficient amount of RAM, a goodly amount of on-board memory, and a faster internal processor. I was just glad to be done. I think I stayed up too late last night. In any event, Mary's old computer will be going out for refurbishing, and then I"ll be inheriting it for my use. Right now, this one is working okay, but her computer has the ability to do more things faster and with less hassle.

I just saw the southbound train go by at 10:45 p.m. Locomotives # 2057 and 2019 were towing 15 covered hopper cars and four of those dreaded black tank cars. I have no plans to be awake when the train heads north early tomorrow morning.

Given all of the things that were going on here today, I accomplished very little. However, I did finish reading that book I had started before we left town. I think the ending trailed off a bit, not a very solid denouement, nor climax. I'll have to read the next book in the series to see if the author improved his craft.

Tomorrow, I have that appointment at the orthopedist. That takes about one-half hour and then I am 2/5 of the way done. I'm hoping that when the doctor reads the x-rays, that he agree that my old knees are still worthy of treatment. I think that they are, but his is the final and only opinion that counts.

After I am done at the doctors, I plan to sit around and read another novel. I've missed reading real books, not the electronic ones that are presented on a reader. Somehow, I missed today's edition of the The Grand Haven Tribune. Like I said earlier, too much going on. I was also too tired to go to the presentation about the Gaelic Harp at the library tonight. That did allow me time to finish my book.

So before the sun rises at 8:05 a.m., I'd best be on my way. The sun will set at 7:47 p.m. tomorrow evening. Ciao.
