Good morning GH. Once again, it is past 2:00 a.m. in "The City." I wish that I slept through the night, but when you fall asleep in the media room, you tend to wake up in the wee hours. Oh well, I don't have to get up early later this morning. Our current temperature is 36°, but it feels like 27° with a 14 mph wind and light rain falling outside the Weather Window. Our high today will be 44° with a 90% chance of the rain continuing throughout the day. Wednesday, the temperature will be no higher than 39° with the rain staying with us.

I heard the southbound train go by about one hour ago. That's all I have to say about that.

I read more of my novel after Mary and I walked with Sugar the Weather Dog to get the newspaper and enjoy the outdoors. We made it to First St. and then turned south, reached the main street in GH, and then walked back on Washington. Naturally, this being the shopping season, the city was filled with people at 10: 00 a.m.

After last year's snowfall, the lack of snow this year is odd to behold. I'm not complaining mind you, but Dewey Hill is devoid of the white stuff. We returned and Mary got back to work. I did the laundry along with the cover for Sugar's couch. Once again, I pulled an extra dog from the lint trap of the dryer.

Speaking of Sugar, I now know that all I have to do is crush her medication and she scarfs it down. She has no way to avoid the needed pills that way.

Mary and I foolishly journeyed to the mall area in Muskegon yesterday afternoon. We had vowed to not make that mistake again, but we did. We came away mostly unrequited. Oh well, everything we desired will wait until after the new year.

We did stop by the favorite watering hole on our way back, and that was a pleasant experience mid-afternoon. Not too many people and sports on TV. Then it was home fora movie in the media room where I fell asleep. One of these days, I'll see a whole movie.

Today, not much on the agenda. A walk with Sugar, read the newspaper, do the crossword, and some time with the girls before I settle in with my novel. I guess that meals are in there somewhere too. The sun will rise at 8:13 a.m. and set at 5:11 p.m. Ciao.
