Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and the world. It is just past 6:00 a.m. in "The City."

We have a current temperature of 61º under clear skies. Today's high temperature is forecast to reach 81º, under clear and sunny skies. The Relative Humidity Index calls for the RHI to be a still sultry

There is no rain in the forecast and no indication of additional precipitation for many more days. I'm once again watering today and for many more days to come.

The sun will rise this morning @ 6:47 a.m. EDT and it will set later this evening @ 8:50 p.m. EDT.

The now 11 - 3 Cubs returned to the field last night after a long layoff and trounced the now 10 - 8 Indians in Cleveland 7 - 7. LHP Jon Lester, 2 - 0, showed no rust and the Cub's offense tallied five runs in the sixth inning en route to the victory. The Cubs and the Indians play again tonight, starting @ 6:10 p.m. EDT, when RHP Kyle Hendricks, 2 - 1 makes another start.

My beloved, 6 - 11 Red Sox left their hitting shoes at home in yet another loss to the 10 - 8 Tampa Bay Rays, 2 - 8. The Sox were not able to marshal any real offense as they let down starting and losing pitcher lefty, Martin Perez. Both teams try again tonight @ the same 7:30 p.m. EDT starting time, when RHP Zack Godley, 0 -  1, pitches for the Sox.

The surging, or was it roaring, now 9 - 6 Tigers, were pussycats last night with their loss to that 9 - 9 other team from Chicago. LHP Tyler Alexander, 1 - 1, started for the Tigers, but the team let him down and the final score was 4 - 8. Today's game @ 1:10 p.m. EDT will have 0 - 1, LHP Matthew Boyd going for the Tigers.

A side note, Tigers' hot-hitting 1st baseman, C.J. Cron, was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a knee injury sustained when a hard-hit ground ball struck his leg and sent him crashing to the ground, No timetable has been set for his possible return this season. To take Cron's place on the roster, the Tigers called up middle-infielder Will Castro from their alternate training site in Toledo, OH. Miguel "Miggy" Cabrera may get a few games at first too.

We didn't accomplish much yesterday. We did some indoor chores after brunch, by Jack. Mary made dinner. Neither of us went to any extreme for those meals.

We binge-watched more TV and some "Breaking" news. We collectively worked on the weekend crossword puzzle and I read my latest novel, The Silent Corner, by Dean Koontz. It is once again in my preferred large-print format. We have some books to pick up at the library early this afternoon, so I have to get cracking on my current read. Ciao.
