Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

I apologize to my regular readers if I went from being Cecil C- DeMille to being Cecil D- DeMille because they couldn't open my videos of the arrival of the Coast Guard vessels on their iPhones etc. If you could, OK then. I'll be using regular pictures in this blog.

Last evening, I went over to Central Park here in GH to see a band called Lomax Big House for the Tuesdays in the Park concert series.

The band was composed of men of a certain age, and I liked their picking, singing, and overall stage presence. One short set was done acapella.

While I was in the park, I took a picture of a Husky who has attended all of the concerts so far.

While the annual Street Dance took place immediately afterwards, I opted to head home and avoid the crowds that were flooding into the downtown.

On my way home, I took a picture of a local B & B, that goes all out for festivals and holidays.

As I neared home, I took this picture of where my low taxes go. Our Public Safety Department is excellent.

Sports news was mostly good yesterday. The Cubs eked out a win over the Marlins 3- 2. That still finds them in 1st place in the N. L. Central with a record of 65 - 41. That means that the Cubs have a 9.0 game lead over the Cardinals, who lost. Dexter Fowler of the Cubs scored two runs and knocked in a third during a great game pitched by Jason Hammel. The Cubs and the Marlins square off today @ 2:20 p.m. EDT.

The Tigers crushed that other team from Chicago by a score of 11 - 5. The Tigers are now 10 games over .500 in the A. L. Central with a 2nd place record of 58 - 48. That finds the Tigers 3.0 games behind the Indians who lost, and 3.0 games ahead of that other team from Chicago. The Tigers and that team face each other again tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

My beloved Red Sox are still struggling, still with a 3rd place record in the A. L. East @ 58 - 47. They fell to the Mariners in Seattle by a final score of 3 - 1. The Sox are 2.0 games in back of the Orioles who also lost. The Sox and the Mariners play again tonight @ 10:10 p.m. PDT.

The Caps defeated the Captains 3 - 1 in a Midwest League East game last night. The Caps now have a 4th place record of 17 - 18. The Caps are @ home tonight to face the Dayton Dragons twice. The first game begins @ 6:00 p.m. and is a continuation of a game that was rained out earlier in the season Game two follows shortly thereafter.

STWD and I walked to her doctor's office yesterday morning, The visit went well, Sugar is in good health for an older lady, albeit a few pounds over her ideal weight.

Mary made a nice salad(s) for lunch yesterday, Homegrown green peppers were an integral part of one of those salads. Very tasty and very satisfying. All good.

Dinner was popcorn for me that I picked up in the park during the concert last night. Mary says that I go to the park to have popcorn, the same reason I go to movies, but I like the music too. Mary stayed behind and was happily working in her kitchen, where she was baking tofu, and a vegan ham. Some may ask why Mary and I decided to go full on vegan almost two years ago, and for them, I offer this in response. Nuff said.

Today we are off to Holland so that Mary can knit and I can go to the dentist for some work on my infrastructure. Once we return, I have to water and Mary needs to index.

During her regularly scheduled chat session yesterday, our IT guru warned of another "Ransom-Ware" infection that is now in the ether. In this case, the computer is hijacked and starts screaming at you. The only way to end the screaming is to use the power button on the computer, not the mouse to turn off the computer and then run several virus protection/cleaning programs. Apparently, Macs are now vulnerable to this problem too. That was not a problem for Mac users before, and that is what made them an easy target as users felt that they were not at risk.

The sun will rise today @ 6:38 a.m. and set @ 9:03 p.m. Ciao.
